VA Home Loan Mortgage Rates October 23 – Interest Rates Unchanged
Posted on | October 23, 2009 | 1 Comment
VA home loan mortgage rates for October 23, 2009 are unchanged. There has been very little movement today as the conventional 30 year fixed rate mortgage is at 4.84% while the conventional 15 year fixed rate mortgage is at 4.3%. The 5/1 ARM is also unchanged at 3.69%. VA home loan mortgage rates are generally around .5% to 1% lower than conventional mortgage interest rates. As you can see by looking at these rates getting a VA mortgage rate right now would save many home owners a ton of money.
The Friday heading into a Fall weekend is sure to be light for mortgage interest rates. Although there is a good amount of volume for mortgage rate quotes there is very little movement. Throughout the day mortgage rates have not seemed to move in any direction more than .03%. As the amount of mortgage applications and refinancings dwindles we are seeing less movement from mortgage interest rates as well.
The weekend is sure to be very slow as college football and spending time with family is sure to take precedence over anything in terms of financial markets. With all financial markets and most banks and lenders closed we expect to see very little volume and no significant moves in mortgage interest rates.
