Metropolitan Bank Refinance Mortgage Rates – Fixed Home Loan Rates Increase with 10 Year Yield Today

On September 28th, 2011 we are seeing the 10 year treasury rate yield above 2% which in turn has pushed average 30 year fixed mortgage rates above 4.25%. With this being the case some Americans are getting on the ball when it comes to refinancing home loan before mortgage rates move up anymore.
Many California residents will likely seek Metropolitan Bank refinance mortgage rates at the end of September 2011 or the beginning of October 2011 as they hope to save money on their home loan payments. While this bank is help many California residents it is important to recognize that there are plenty of options available at this time of year.
Over the next several weeks it will be very interesting to see just how many refinance applications are submitted as mortgage rates could be volatile. With the 10 year treasury rate yield now about 2% there is a very strong possibility that it has reached the bottom and is starting an uptrend which could push 30 year fixed rates towards 5%.
When predicting overall interest rate markets it is very difficult to be accurate. The Federal Reserve Bank has continued to state many times that they will take the necessary step to keep interest rates low but it is important to realize that if the economy improves and the unemployment rate drops in interest rates could move higher.
As we get closer and closer to the Christmas holiday shopping season there is a very good chance that we could see interest rates increase as the economy continues to get a little bit better. If retailers report that sales are very good heading into the Christmas holiday shopping season than the stock market could increase which in turn could push the 10 year yield slightly higher.
