The 10 year treasury rate yield has greatly struggled to break through its 20 day moving average over the last several months which in turn has pushed 30 year fixed mortgage rates lower. On September 21, 2011 we are seeing 30 year fixed home loan interest rates as well as 4.25% percent for very good borrowers of money.
Bank of America refinance mortgage rates remain a very hot topic for individuals looking to save money this fall. Unfortunately, some Americans may not have the opportunity to lock into these low rates as they have made very poor financial decisions in the recent past. If individuals have missed bill payments than it is likely true that they have seen their credit score drop and debt to income ratio increased.
By having a credit score above 740 and a debt to income ratio below 40% most individuals will find that there are plenty of options to refinance at historically low rates. While Bank of America is one of the largest financial institutions in the country it is very important to recognize that they are not the only option when it comes to locking in low interest rates in September of 2011.
The FDIC currently insures over 7000 financial institutions nationwide and many of these banks and lenders are located at the local or regional level. This should help individuals find many businesses that will be willing to go above and beyond to help when it comes to locking in low rates.
As we get closer to the winner of 2011 and will likely be true that more and more Americans look to submit refinance applications. With the Christmas holiday shopping months ahead of us thrifty customers recognize that they are going to spend more money during these months and they are looking to save in any way possible.
