Save Money Any Way Possible

Free Annual Credit Report – Online Experian, Transunion and Equifax FTC and Government Supported Financial History

Posted on | August 22, 2011 | Comments Off

With the 10 year treasury rate yield falling to historic lows and millions of Americans looking to save money it comes as no surprise that many are seeking a mortgage refinance or lower interest rates on a credit card.  The free annual credit available online at the website annualcreditreport.com offers a free online credit history analysis from the bureaus of Experian, Transunion and Equifax.

It is very important to realize that in August 2011 there is no such thing as a government free credit score.  A credit score often costs between $15 and $40 depending on the service and the number of credit scores desired.  If individuals want all three credit score then they will likely pay in the high end of this range and possible even more.

Even though individuals have to pay for a credit score it is still the case that it will be worth it down the road.  When looking to improve a financial history most individuals need a starting place and the best way to do this is to get a current credit score.  Even if it is very bad it is still a place to start.

The free annual credit report helps Americans recognize any lines of credit they may have outstanding that are not being addressed.  By allowing lines of credit to go unpaid most will find that their credit score greatly drops due to an increased debt to income ratio.  Some may end up find that fees are eating them alive because they are not paying on these lines of credit.

This is one of the many reasons that the Federal Government continues to offer a free annual credit report.  Americans should take advantage of this opportunity before going into any major loan process in the very near future.
