Today’s Lowest Mortgage Refinance Interest Rates – Bank of the West, Union Bank and Countrywide Home Loans Dip

Posted on | August 16, 2011 | Comments Off

Over the last month we have seen the 10 year treasury rate you’ll drop significantly which in turn has pushed 30 year fixed mortgage refinance rates lower. At the present time we are seeing 30 year fixed home loans as low as 4.1% for borrowers who have a very good credit history.

Many residents in the western part of the country will look to Bank of the West, Union Bank or Countywide when it comes to refinancing home loan in August or September of 2011. It is very important to note that these are three of the largest regional lenders in the country but there are many options available at the present time.

With over 7000 FDIC insured financial institutions throughout the country it should not be difficult to find today’s lowest refinance mortgage rates. Doing extensive research on the FDIC website could provide great opportunities to save money and extra incentives to negotiate lower interest rates with other types of lenders.

As we get closer and closer to the fall of 2011 and will be very interesting to see what happens with the 10 year treasury rate yield. If the ten-year yield continues to drop well below 2.25% and there is very little doubt that the 30 year fixed mortgage rate will hit all-time lows below 4%. This should allow most Americans a great opportunity to refinance and save money.

When going into the refinance process it is always a wise choice to have a clear credit history. By having any mistakes or errors on a financial history report it could negatively affect a credit score by as much as 100 points. Rather than allowing this to happen it is always a wise choice to take advantage of the free annual credit report that is supported by the federal government and FTC. It is important to note that this free resource is only available at one website – annualcreditreport.com.
