Save Money Any Way Possible

Free Credit Score Online Not Supported by the Federal Government – Experian, Equifax and Transunion Scores Come at a Cost

Posted on | August 16, 2011 | Comments Off

With interest rates continuing to drop towards all time lows it comes as very little surprised to see many American homeowners looking to save money by completing the refinance process. Before doing so may be a very wise choice to take advantage of the free annual credit report that offers a free credit history analysis from the bureaus of Experian, Equifax and Transunion.

It is very important to note that this free annual credit report is only available in one website annualcreditreport.com. It is also important to recognize that at the present time there is no such thing as a free credit score online that is supported by the federal government. There have been many bills created to possibly pass this law but it has yet to happen as of August 2011.

Even though there is no such thing as a government free credit score does not mean that individuals do not take advantage of the many free resources online. By accessing the free annual credit report individuals will get a much better understanding as to what lines of credit they have outstanding in any areas of concern.

Rather than allowing mistakes or errors to accumulate on a credit history report it is always a wise decision to address these concerns as soon as possible. Unfortunately, many American adults continue to go throughout their entire adult life without recognizing that these mistakes could negatively affect a credit score by as much as 100 points.

As we get closer to the fall 2011 it will be very interesting to see what happens with overall mortgage interest rates. At the present time we are seeing 30 year fixed rate as low as 4.1% but there is a possibility that the economy could recover and 30 year fixed rates could move up a bit. Rather than allowing this to happen it may be a good decision to take advantage of low interest rates while they are available.
