On Monday, July 18th, 2011 we are seeing 30 year fixed mortgage rates start around 4.3%. It is very important to note that not all Americans are going to be able to walk into today’s lowest mortgage interest rates as it generally takes a very impressive financial history with a low debt to income ratio.
Some of the regional banks are offering interest rates very close to all-time lows include Webster Bank, TD Bank and Wachovia. While these are some of the options that are available it is important to recognize that the FDIC currently insures over 7000 institutions which allows many individuals defy regional and local lenders are willing to go above and beyond for new business.
Rather than assuming that there are only a few options it is always a wise choice to do extensive research and understand that many corporations are seeking business in the mortgage industry.
