Save Money Any Way Possible

Free Annual Credit Report Online – Government Experian, Equifax and Transunion Help Does Not Include Free Credit Score

As interest rates remain very close to all time lows many people are looking to save money on home loans, car loans, personal loans and credit cards.  Before doing so it might be a very wise decision to take advantage of the free annual credit report that is provided by the Federal government and FTC.

This free Experian, Equifax and Transunion credit report is available at one website – annualcreditreport.com.  It is very important to remember that individuals can get a credit history analysis but there is no such thing as a government free credit score.  To obtain a credit score it will generally cost between $15 and $40.

It is often well worth it to spend this extra money to put a number value on a financial history.  By not putting a number value on a financial history it is going to be very hard to gauge how much progress has been made.  This is one of the best reasons to spend the extra money to get an actual credit score to go along with the credit report.

It is also very smart to make 100% certain that there are no mistakes or errors on any of the credit reports.  By having errors or mistakes customers could end up seeing their credit score affected by as much as 100 points.  This could be a huge difference when it comes to locking in very low interest rates on any money borrowed.

With many free resource available on the FTC website there is no reason that Americans should go into any financial process blind.  Accessing FTC.gov is one of the best steps many borrowers can take as it often saves them quite a bit of time and money in the long run.
