Obama and Government Credit Card Debt Relief Plans Not Available in May 2011 – Bad Credit Borrowers Receive FTC Help

Even though we continue to hear that the overall economy is getting better for many news and media sources it is still the case that millions of Americans are struggling to find a job and make monthly bill payments. Many of these individuals will likely seek Obama or government credit card debt relief plans but it is important to recognize that no such services exist and may have 2011.

Unfortunately, the unemployment rate has recently kicked up to 9% and millions of Americans are finding it very difficult to make ends meet when it comes to personal finances. With this being true a large number of these individuals are looking to alleviate credit card debt and any way possible.

Rather than assuming that the federal government or president is going to bail out of bad financial situation it is always advisable to take responsibility for one’s actions and looked to pay down debt. The FTC website offers many free resources that should help Americans better understand how to create a strict weekly or monthly budget.

By better understanding where money is being spent many American households can slowly pay down credit card debt and improve financial situations. Even though it may take many years and possibly decades to pay off credit card debt it is still well worth it to start as soon as possible to have an opportunity to receive low interest rates sometime in the future.

Over the next several weeks it will be very interesting to see what happens with overall interest rates as the 10 year treasury rate yield looks to find a bottom near its 200 day moving average. At the 10 year treasury rate yield starts to move higher there is a very good chance that we could see higher interest rates in the future which could make it even more difficult for bad credit borrowers to relieve debt problems.
