Their many local community banks that are offering impressive interest rates on both checking and savings accounts under certain conditions. Most of these local community banks require that customers use a debit or ATM card at least 10 times a month and have one electronic transfer into the account to receive the high interest rate.
Some Americans will be lucky enough to live in a specific area that has a high yield community bank that could be offering interest rates as high as 5%. It is important to note that only individuals who live in a specific area will have an opportunity to submit an application to many of these local community banks.
When it comes to high-yield savings accounts and national banks it can often be hard to find yields very high because most of these banks are well established and do not need to offer incentives to new customers.
