Compare Mortgage Interest Rates Today – Fixed 30 Year FHA, Conventional and VA Home Loans Hit New April 2011 Lows

As the 10 year treasury rate yield has moved below its 50 day moving average many Americans are looking to compare mortgage interest rates today to save as much money as possible. With fixed 30 year FHA, conventional and VA home loans under 5% many homeowners are noticing that interest rates are very close to April 2011 lows.
As we get closer to the summer of 2011 there is a very good chance that interest rates could start to rise. With the overall economy improving many analysts predict that interest rates will move up quickly. The unemployment rate is now under 9% and the stock market continues to make multi-year highs each and every month so there is a strong reason to believe that we could see 30 year fixed mortgage rates move towards 5%.
Taking the time and effort to do as much research as possible is very important when it comes to making major financial decisions. Unfortunately, many Americans assume that mortgage lenders are going to offer low interest rates without any work. Rather than making this assumption is always advisable to contact several mortgage lenders and get a competitive interest rate offer.
Over the next several weeks it will be very interesting to see what happens with the 10 year treasury rate yield. If the 10 year yield continues to move down below its 50 day moving average then there’s a very good chance that we could see 2011 interest rates close to all-time lows.
With this in mind it is important to recognize that the opposite could happen as well. If the 10 year yield starts the uptrend and moves well above its 50 day moving average and there’s a good chance that we could see 30 year fixed mortgage rates start to make their way towards 5%. No matter what happens it is always advisable to keep options available as the low interest-rate environment could help individuals save hundreds of dollars a month.
