Turbo Tax 2010 Free File, H&R Block and Tax Act Help With IRS Online eFile in April 2011

Posted on | April 18, 2011 | Comments Off

It is very hard to believe that Tax Day is upon us but April 18th, 2011 is the last opportunity for Americans to file without receiving a late penalty.  With this in mind millions will stream to the websites of Turbo Tax Free File, H&R Block and Tax Act to file their 2010 Federal and State income taxes.  Each of these websites have government and IRS approval but there are many others available as well.

Before making any final decisions on tax prep software it is always important to read the fine print of each website.  Most of these website will offer a free online eFile option when it comes to federal income taxes but with each suggestion they offer it may end up costing more down the road when taxes are ready to be filed.

Rather than going through the entire tax form without realizing how much is going to be charged it would be wise to find out up front.  For premium services, it is often the case that these websites charge between $20 and $120.  For the much more advanced business tax forms it could cost closer to $200.

It is sometimes well worth it to spend this extra cash to make 100% certain that taxes are being filed correctly.  The tax code changes each and every year and it is sometimes very hard to keep up with these changes so it is often suggested to allow preparation software or other accountants to keep up with this.

With just a few hours left to file taxes it would be smart to take action now rather than wait.  Unfortunately, the United States is a country that love to wait until the last minute but that could cause a high stress environment which in turn could cause mistakes or errors on a tax form.
