Today’s Lowest Mortgage Interest Rates – Chase, Citigroup, RBC and Wachovia Interest Rates at February 2011 Lows

Over the last several days we have seen the 10 year treasury rate yield drop below its 50 day moving average which in turn has pushed 30 year fixed mortgage rates to February lows. Some of the largest banks reporting February 2011 lows when it comes to 30 year fixed mortgage rates include Chase, Citigroup, RBC and Wachovia.


It is very important to remember that these are some of the larger banks in the country but they are not the only option when it comes to locking in home loan rates below 5%. When seeking today’s lowest mortgage interest rates it is always a wise decision to do research online and realized that their many local and regional lenders that can help with home loans.


As we get deeper into 2011 many analysts and economists have predicted that interest rates could move higher. But the overall economy showing signs of improvement there is a very good chance that 30 year fixed mortgage rates could go above the psychological 5% mark and make their way toward 6%.

With this in mind is always a wise decision to exhaust resources and completely understand how much money can be saved in the current economic environment. With 30 year fixed mortgage rates around 4.75% many homeowners stand to benefit greatly by refinancing a home loan. Some homeowners have found that they can save hundreds of dollars by going to the refinance process in late February 2011.

It is also a very smart decision to exhaust resources when it comes to financial lenders. With over 7000 FDIC insured financial institutions in this country one should not limit their resources when it comes to finding low home loan interest rates. With the advancements in technology it is now much easier than it has ever been to find a mortgage lender who work best for a specific financial situation.
