Today’s Lowest FHA Mortgage Rates – Current Fixed and Adjustable Rates Still Attractive Below 5% Nationwide

As millions of Americans are looking to take advantage of the low interest-rate environment it comes as very little surprised to see many of these individuals looking for today’s lowest FHA mortgage rates. We are seeing current fixed and adjustable mortgage rates below 5% but there is a very strong chance that this could change in the near future as the overall economy improves.
Many times in the past the Federal Reserve Bank is stated that interest rates will be greatly determined by the overall economy. At the present time we are seeing the 30 year conventional fixed mortgage around 4.85% but we could see 30 year fixed rates above 5% in the near future if the unemployment rate continues to drop and their many economic indicators showing growth.
With this in mind it may be a very wise decision to start research today when it comes to refinancing a home loan. Unfortunately, not all Americans will be able to lock in the lowest possible mortgage rates due to the fact that they have seen their credit score drop over the last few years which could be caused by the fact that their debt to income ratio has increased.
As we get closer to the summer of 2011 we will better understand where mortgage rates are headed as many economic indicators will be released. Rather than waiting to see what happens it may be a very wise decision to go through the refinance process as soon as possible as rates could move through 5% and toward 6% in the very near future.
It is important to remember that it an FHA mortgage comes with insurance obligations so it is advisable to do research and crunch the numbers before deciding that this is the correct mortgage type. Luckily, there are many mortgage calculators available online this should help individuals better understand how much money they need to save.
