Today’s Lowest FHA Mortgage Rates – Refinance Countrywide, Wachovia and RBC Interest Rates Dip Below 5%

When American homeowners are looking for today’s lowest FHA mortgage rates they will likely find the 30 year fixed rate under 5% for well qualified borrowers.  Some of the more popular regional banks throughout the United States include Countrywide, Wachovia and RBC as these financial institutions have helped many to refinance a home loan.

Before making any assumptions that all Americans will have the ability to lock in to the lowest possible mortgage interest rates it is very important to recognize that it takes an excellent credit history.  A credit score above 740 and a debt to income ratio that is below 40% is needed when it comes to refinancing a home loan in the current economic environment.

By reaching these financial requirements most homeowners will find that they have positioned themselves very well when it comes to low interest rates.  Unfortunately, a large number of Americans have struggled when it comes to paying the bills and making ends meet.  Each time a bill payment is missed it is the case that a credit score is negatively affected.

Remember that to improve a credit score it can take several years and possibly several decades of not only paying bills on time and in full but also paying these bills off.  With the mortgage industry being much tighter with their lending practices since the credit crisis it is always advisable to have made strong financial decisions in the past.

Luckily, there are many free resources available online that help a large number of homeowners when it comes to locking in very low interest rates.  The HUD website has many free articles that can help all Americans better understand what options are available when it comes to not only mortgage lenders but mortgage types. By simply doing a few hours of research it could be the case that hundreds or thousands of dollars are saved.
