Compare Mortgage Interest Rates Today – 2011 Lowest VA and FHA Home Loan Rates on January 13

With mortgage rates very close to all time lowsIt comes as very little surprised to see many Americans looking to compare mortgage interest rates today. On January 13, 2011 we are currently seeing yearly lows for a VA and FHA home loan. With 30 year conventional mortgage rates around 4.6% many Americans are finding that both VA and FHA 30 year fixed home loans are below 5% as well.


Most mortgage lenders are reporting that FHA and conventional mortgage rates are coming in very close so do not be surprised to see 30 year fixed FHA rates very close to 4.75%. It is important to remember that it takes a very impressive credit history and a low debt to income ratio to have any opportunities at these low mortgage interest rates.


Unfortunately, many Americans have seen their credit score drop over the last several years which in turn makes it extremely difficult to lock in low home loan rates in January of 2011. By having a credit score above 740, a debt to income ratio below 40%, and equity in a home that will make life much easier when it comes to receiving low interest rates when looking to refinance.

As we get deeper and deeper into 2011 it could be the case that 30 year fixed mortgage rates start to move higher. The Federal Reserve Bank is stated many times that interest rates will move up as the overall economy improves. With this being the case it may be a wise decision to take advantage of the current low interest rate environment before it is gone.

There many mortgage lender spread throughout the country that can help homeowners when it comes to locking in to some very attractive rates. Love the big four financial institutions are Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citigroup and Chase it is important to remember that there are many other options available at both the local and regional level.
