Federal Government Credit Card Debt Relief – President Obama and His Staff Help Customers with Debt Settlement Issues

Posted on | December 28, 2010 | No Comments

With many Americans greatly struggling when it comes to personal finances it comes as absolutely no surprise that a large number of these individuals are looking for federal government credit card debt relief.  It is important for all struggling Americans to remember and note that there is no such thing as an Obama or government credit card debt relief or debt settlement program at the present time.

President Obama and his staff have worked very hard to help customers better understand their options when it comes to high interest rate credit card debt.  On October 27, 2010 the Obama administration and FTC started enforcing new rules stating that debt settlement and debt relief companies can no longer charge up front fees for services.

All money that exchanges hands will be done after a service has been completed.  This will help many to save money by avoiding scams or companies looking to make a quick buck.  It is also important for all of these individuals to recognize that debt relief or debt settlement are not the only way to remove a large amount of high interest rate debts.

The FTC website offers many valuable resources that can help Americans when it comes to creating a strong weekly or monthly budget.  By creating a budget and knowing exactly where money is being spent a large number of people can reduce some of the financial issues that they have.

There are also a large number of free spreadsheet programs that can help Americans come up with some financial figures when it comes to reducing high amounts of debt.  One of the best resources is Google Docs which is 100% free with a gmail account.  These documents can then be accessed anywhere there is Internet access.  All of the spreadsheet options of Google Docs are very similar to the Microsoft documents.
