Are Banks Open on Christmas Eve 2010? December 24 is Not a Bank Holiday While December 25 Is

One of the many questions that Americans will ask on the morning of Christmas Eve is “are banks open on
Christmas Eve 2010?" The fact that Christmas falls on a Saturday means that banks will likely be open until at least noon. There will be several banks that are open until 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm before closing for the Christmas holiday.
With this being the case most Americans will have the opportunity to access funds in a bank account through a teller. With millions and probably billions of dollars exchanging hands tomorrow it will be very interesting to see just how busy banks are. It will likely be the case that banks are quite crowded as people will be looking to fund their accounts before spending any money on Christmas travels or gifts.
Even though many people have been very smart with their financial decisions there are still a large number of bad credit Americans who are struggling to get out of debt. Before going out and spending a ton of money on Christmas gifts or travels it might be smart to check a budget and make 100% certain that high interest rate spending is not done.
Many bad credit borrowers are currently seeing interest rates as high as 25% on a credit card so it is always smart to pay this balance off as soon as possible. This is one of the many reasons that banks will be crowded tomorrow; people are looking to spend money they have already earned rather than purchasing on credit.
It is now the case that most ATM's are open 24 hours so it is not such a big deal to get money from a bank teller. If you are looking to take out quite a bit of money it is important to remember that there are many ATMs that limit the amount of money that can be taken 0ut in a 24 hour period.
