Wells Fargo Refinance Mortgage Rates – Fixed, Adjustable, FHA and VA Home Loans Volatile in December 2010
Posted on | December 23, 2010 | No Comments
As we get much closer to Christmas it is the case that most people are not thinking about Wells Fargo refinance mortgage rates but that will change when the new year comes around. Most people wait until January or February to think about the refinance process but it may be a very wise decision to start research today to understand the options that are available.
In December of 2010 fixed, adjustable, FHA and VA home loan interest rates have been quite volatile. The 30 year fixed mortgage rate has been as low as 4.0% and as high as 5.25% in the last six weeks. At the present time we are seeing a 30 year fixed rate around 4.8% but that could change quickly as we have seen over the last two months.
When thinking about refinancing a home loan is always a wise decision to complete due diligence and gain as much knowledge as possible. This is usually a process that is not done often. In fact, most people do not refinance more than once or twice a decade which can make this a very hard concept to understand as it is not done on a consistent basis.
Luckily, there many free resources available online to help homeowners better understand what options are available. By simply doing a little bit of research online almost all homeowners will find that the government and many mortgage lenders offer free tutorials on refinancing and going to the mortgage application process.
As with any major financial decision in one’s life is always a wise decision to step back and look at the big picture. Even though many people have saved quite a bit of money through refinancing it is usually the case that there are some Americans who will not save. The general rule of thumb is that one full percentage point must be knocked off a mortgage to fully benefit from the refinance process.
