With Christmas just around the corner and many Americans struggling to make ends meet when it comes to personal finances it will likely be the case that many homeowners are looking to pay her mortgage interest rates today. Unfortunately, average refund and VA, FHA and conventional fixed mortgage interest rates have moved higher as the 10 year treasury rate yield has pierced its 200 day moving average to the upside.


Over the last several years it has been the case that millions of Americans have benefited greatly from the low 30 year fixed mortgage rates as homeowners had the ability to refinance well below 5%. At the present time we are seeing 30 year conventional fixed mortgage rates at 5% which is up drastically from 4.0% in November.
