Today’s Lowest FHA Mortgage Rates – Refinance Bank Rates Hit November Highs Around 4.4% for 30 Year Fixed Mortgage

With millions of Americans looking to save money in anyway possible it is no surprise to see a large number of people looking for today’s lowest FHA mortgage rates. To find the lowest refinance bank rates it is important to remember that it takes a very impressive financial history for homeowners to have any chance at these historically low interest rates.


We are currently seeing refinance bank rates around November highs at 4.4% for the 30 year fixed mortgage. Over the last few weeks we have seen the 10 year treasury rate yield move much higher which in turn has pushed 30 year fixed mortgage rates to monthly highs as we go into December.


Even though 30 year fixed mortgage rates are around 4.4% and is still the case that there are many opportunities to save money. When looking for today’s lowest FHA mortgage rates many lenders are reporting that FHA mortgages are coming in very close to conventional mortgages. Even though this is the case it is important to remember that there aren’t sure and obligations that come with an FHA mortgage.

It is sometimes worth it to take out a conventional mortgage with a slightly higher interest rate due to the fact that customers can avoid the insurance obligations. While these insurance costs are not overly expensive they do add up each and every month possibly making it cheaper to get a conventional mortgage with a slightly higher rate.

Before making any final decisions when it comes to locking into a FHA mortgage it is always wise to do homework and a little bit of extra research. There are many free resources available online that make it much easier than it has ever been to do personal finance research from the comfort of a home or office. Taking advantage of these resources could save not only quite a bit of time but also money.
