With interest rates very close to all-time lows it has been the case that many American homeowners have looked to compare mortgage interest rates for quite some time. Today we are seeing 30 year conventional fixed mortgage rates around 4.35% which is off the all-time lows but still very attractive to a large number of homeowners.

November weekend FHA and VA home loan interest rates have been quite attractive as the federal reserve bank continues to take the right steps to keep interest rates low. Earlier in the month we saw 30 year fixed mortgage rates as low as 4% for well qualified homeowners but it is interesting to note that this is no longer the case as rates have moved higher.

Over the next several weeks it will be very interesting to see if Americans continue to look for low interest rates. With the Christmas holiday just around the corner it is generally the case that most Americans do not think about personal finances as they are looking to enjoy the holidays by spending time with their family and purchasing Christmas gifts.

Taking the time and effort to do a significant amount of research could prove to be greatly beneficial when it comes to locking in the lowest possible mortgage interest rates today. It takes a very impressive credit score, above 740, to have any opportunities to lock into the lowest possible rates. Without a credit score at this level it is very difficult to receive low interest rate quotes from any mortgage lenders.

Some of the larger mortgage lenders in the country include Bank of America, Chase, Citigroup and Wells Fargo. It is important to understand that these are not the only options when it comes to locking in the low rates as their are many local, regional and national mortgage lenders that can help all American homeowners at the end of the year.
