Compare Mortgage Interest Rates Today – Refinance FHA, VA and Conventional Home Loans Up to Highest Levels in November

As Thanksgiving is just around the corner and many people are thinking about traveling home for the holidays it is the case that FHA, VA and conventional home loan interest rates are at the highest levels of November. For those looking to compare mortgage interest rates today it has become quite obvious that mortgage rates have bounced off their bottom from earlier in the month.
During the early part of November it was the case that conventional 30 year fixed mortgage rates were around 4%. Today we are seeing 30 year conventional rates as high as 4.35%. Much of this is due to the fact that the 10 year treasury rate yields moved higher from 2.5% up to 2.9%.
If the 10 year treasury rate yield continues to move up that it is highly likely that we will see 30 year conventional mortgage rates as high as 4.5% or higher by Thanksgiving. This is not unexpected as the 10 year treasury rate yield has great influence on overall 30 year fixed mortgage rates. The 10 year yield has had a strong correlation with the 30 year fixed since 1971.
Taking the time and effort to do research could prove to be greatly important for homeowners looking to save money. By figuring out how much money can be saved by going to the refinance process many Americans could put some extra cash in their pockets before the holiday shopping season. This could prove to be significant as the overall economy has greatly struggled in 2010.
It is a common fact that many American households spend much more money during November and December as the holiday season approaches. With this being true it may be wise to take advantage of the currently low mortgage interest rates that are available which could offer savings in the form of a lower monthly mortgage payment for years to come.
