Free Annual Credit Report – Government Analysis from Experian, Equifax and Transunion to Help Refinance Process in 2010

Posted on | October 23, 2010 | No Comments

The free annual credit report that is offered by the government and FTC is available at only one website – annualcreditreport.com.  This free credit report will help customers get an analysis of the credit history as seen by the three credit bureaus of Experian, Equifax and Transunion.  Remember that this free credit report does not include a free credit score.

When looking to go through the refinance process in October or November of 2010 it is very important to understand a credit history and credit score.  By having a very bad credit history it makes it very difficult on homeowners to have any chance to lock in to the historically low mortgage interest rates.

If there are any errors or mistakes on a credit report it could negatively affect a credit score which in turn will make it nearly impossible to lock in to rates below 4.5%.  At the present time we are seeing 30 year fixed mortgage rates under 4.5% but these low rates are only available to well qualified borrowers.  It will take a very impressive credit history to lock in to the low rates from mortgage lenders.
