Today’s lowest FHA mortgage rates are very attractive levels as many mortgage lenders are reporting that 30 year fixed loan rates are around 4.25%. Some of the largest mortgage lenders in the country include Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Chase but remember that these are not the only options when it comes to locking in the lowest possible FHA mortgage interest rates today.
By doing research online many Americans will likely find that there are several opportunities to lock into low FHA mortgage rates. It is important to understand that it takes a very good credit score and a low debt to income ratio to have any opportunities to lock into these rates below 4.5%. Without these requirements it is nearly impossible to have any opportunity to lock into low FHA rates.
Over the last several weeks it has been the case that the majority of mortgage applications have been to refinance. Look for this trend to continue as first-time home buyers sit on the sidelines and wait for government tax incentives. With no immediate tax incentives available it will likely be the case that refinance applications dominate over the next several months.
