Obama Credit Card Debt Relief – Plans, Programs, Services and Companies See New Rules in 2010

Posted on | August 31, 2010 | No Comments

Many Americans continue to search for an Obama credit card debt relief plan or program but it is very important to understand that no such program exists. Debt relief plans, programs, services and companies will have new rules in 2010 as the FTC is greatly changing the way that this industry can operate.

It is no longer the case that debt relief companies can charge upfront fees. It used to be the case that credit card debt relief organizations made a significant amount of money through upfront fees but this will no longer be the case as the FTC will be coming down hard on any company that plans to charge customers before a service is provided.

Before making any final decisions when it comes to credit card debt relief it is always wise to step back and consider the options. There are many free resources available on the FTC website to help Americans better understand how to budget their money wisely. By budgeting wisely and saving more than spending many Americans will find that they can get out of credit card debt sooner than they imagined.
