Federal Government Credit Card Debt Relief – Companies, Plans and Programs See New Rules in 2010

Federal Government credit card debt relief has been a very popular topic over the last several months as Americans continue to struggle to pay their bills and make ends meet when it comes to personal finances. It is very important to understand that there is no such thing as a federal government credit card debt relief program or plan at the present time.


Companies, plans and programs for debt relief will see new rules in 2010 as the FTC is going to enforce many changes. It is now the case that no upfront fees can be charged for credit card debt relief. This means that all Americans who go through this process must receive the service before they are charged. This can help many Americans save money over the long run.

It is also the case that most of these credit card debt relief companies will have to change their marketing efforts as they can no longer claim government or Obama approval. With this being the case but for many credit card debt relief plans and programs to remove any type of claim that they have the approval of our president or our government.
