Today’s Lowest FHA Mortgage Refinance Rates – Loan Rates from Bank of America, Chase, and Wachovia

Today’s lowest FHA mortgage refinance rates are very close to all time lows as most mortgage lenders are reporting that FHA rates and conventional rates are coming in very close. With this being the case expect to see Bank of America, Chase and Wachovia, among others, reporting that 30 year fixed rates are in the range of 4.3% today.
It takes a very impressive credit score, a significant amount of home equity and a low debt to income ratio to have any chance to lock in to these low FHA mortgage refinance rates. With loan rates being very low it can be expected that many homeowners are looking to lock in to a low rate but it does take a very strong financial balance sheet to have these opportunities.
Over the last few weeks it has been the case that almost 80% of mortgage applications have been to refinance. We look for that to continue as first time home buyers are sitting on the sidelines waiting for government incentives such as a first time home buyer tax credit. With no tax credit in sight it looks like most applications will continue to be to refinance.
