Federal Government Credit Card Debt Relief and Debt Settlement Rules and Regulations Adjust in Late 2010

Over the last several years many Americans have found themselves in a very tough situation when it comes to personal finances. Many of these same people have searched for a federal government credit card debt relief or debt settlement program. It is very important to note that at the present time there is no such thing as the federal government credit card debt relief program. It will take budgeting money wisely and saving more than spending to get out of debt.


Over the next several months it will be the case that there are new debt settlement and debt relief rules and regulations. One of the most significant changes is the fact that credit card debt relief companies can no longer charge upfront fees. It used to be the case that debt settlement and debt relief companies could charge any type of fees they wanted to before service was completed but this is no longer the case.

Before making any final decisions that a debt relief or debt settlement plan is correct for financial situation is always a good idea to step back and analyze the options. Ultimately, budgeting wisely is the best personal debt relief program available.
