Today’s Lowest Mortgage Interest Rates – 30 Year Fixed and ARM Rates Near All Time Lows in August 2010

Today’s Lowest mortgage interest rates are very attractive levels to most homeowners as 30 year fixed and ARM rates are very close to historic lows as the 10 year treasury rate yield continues to struggle. With this being the case they are many Americans throughout the country that could save a significant amount by refinancing their current home loan to a lower overall interest rate.
Before making the assumption that all homeowners will have the ability to save a significant amount it is important to realize that there or closing costs involved with this process. The general rule of thumb is that homeowners must save at least one full percentage point to fully benefit from the refinance process.
It is also the case that not all Americans can lock into today’s lowest mortgage interest rate. It takes a very good credit score and a low debt to income ratio to have any opportunity to find a mortgage lender that will quote a low rate. With this being the case it is always wise to check your credit report and make certain that it is accurate and free of errors.
