Today’s lowest Mortgage interest rates continue to remain at very low levels as American homeowners are looking to refinance 30 year fixed rates. On August 24, 2010 we are currently seeing 30 year rates at 4.35%. While this is not the lowest level in history it is very close as the lowest rates we have seen for the 30 year fixed or 4.25%.
Before making any assumptions that all Americans will have the ability to lock into these low rates it is very important to understand that a credit score greatly distinguishes which mortgage rate offer is available. By having a credit score above 740 many homeowners will position themselves well when it comes to locking in to the lowest possible mortgage interest rates in August of 2010.
It also takes a very low debt to income ratio and a significant amount of equity in a home to lock into the lowest possible rates. By doing research online there are many websites that can help better explain the mortgage refinance process and what mortgage interest rate homeowners will likely qualify for in the current economic environment.
