Obama Credit Card Debt Relief – Plans, Services and Programs Governed by FTC with New Rules

Posted on | August 20, 2010 | No Comments

Over the last several months many Americans have greatly struggled when it comes to personal finances. With this being the case many of them have searched for an Obama credit card debt relief plan, service or program. It is very important to note that there is no such thing as an Obama credit card debt relief program at the present time. In fact, the FTC is governing the credit card debt industry much more strictly with new rules and regulations.

Over the next several months it will be the case that credit card debt relief companies can no longer charge upfront fees. This will greatly change the way the credit card debt relief industry works as many companies made a significant amount of their profits on upfront fees.

President Obama and his staff have worked very hard to protect consumers and this will remain to be the case as the FTC is enforcing the new laws that have been created. Before making any major financial decision it is always wise to protect oneself. Even though the FTC is doing their job with governing these scams there are still companies that may slip through the cracks.
