Posted on | August 19, 2010 | No Comments

Wells Fargo refinance mortgage rates have dropped to the lowest levels in the history of the United States housing market as 30 year home loan rates are at 4.25%. When looking at historical chart of mortgage interest rates it is quite clear that we have never seen levels this low.   Over the last several weeks we have seen many homeowners consider refinancing as refinance applications are nearly 80% of total mortgage applications.

It is very important for all homeowners to understand that 30 year home loans of 4.25% are only available to the best borrowers. Borrowers will need a credit score of above 740, equity in their home, in a very low debt to income ratio to have any opportunity to lock in the 30 year fixed rates well below 5%.

By doing research online many homeowners will likely find that there are many opportunities to lock in to the lowest possible mortgage interest rates. This is a very competitive industry so it is wise to exhaust resources before making any final decision on a mortgage lender in August of 2010.
