Save Money Any Way Possible

Credit Unions May Offer Checking and Bank Account Alternatives for Those Looking for a Savings Account

Posted on | July 9, 2010 | Comments Off

Over the last several months many Americans have worked very hard to save more than they spend.  This has been evident with the spending habits as shown in retail sales over the last few months.  With Americans holding on to more cash they will likely look for a place to put this cash and a credit union may offer checking and bank account alternatives to the common “big” or local community banks.

When looking for a credit union one option is to start research on CULookup.com.  CULookup.com allows citizens to search for a credit union in their area.  Some of these credit unions can offer some incentives that banks cannot.  Some of the difference in banks and credit unions are available at this link.

With many Americans upset about the bank bailout that occurred in 2008 a safe alternative may be a credit union.  Before making any final decisions it is important to remember that not everyone has access to a credit union.  It would be wise to contact the credit union of choice and see if you have the ability to submit an application.  Even some bad credit borrowers have found out that they can benefit from a credit union account.
