Free Government Credit Report – Annual Credit Report Online from Experian, Equifax, and Transunion in June 2010
Posted on | June 28, 2010 | Comments Off
The free government credit report available to all Americans has been a very hot topic as of late. It is important to remember that the annual credit report online from Experian, Equifax and Transunion is available at only one website that is supported by the government – annualcreditreport.com
It is very important to understand that this free credit report does not include a free credit score. It is usually the case that customers will need to pay a fee between $15 and $30 for a credit score from one of the three major credit bureaus. Sometimes it is worth it to pay this extra money to get a number score for your financial report card.
It is always wise to check your credit report at least once a year so you can be certain that it is free of errors. If there are many errors on your credit report you could end up losing out on a significant amount of money due to higher interest rates on the money you borrow.
Take the time and effort to analyze your credit report each year so you know you are getting the interest rates you deserve. If there are errors it is wise to get them fixed as soon as possible by contacting the credit bureau that you used.
