High Yield Savings Account – 4% Interest Rates on Checking Accounts at Community Banks in North Carolina and Other States

A high yield savings account has gained in popularity over the last few months as many Americans are working very hard to make certain that they save more than they spend. There are many community banks nationwide that are offering great deals but there are a few community banks in North Carolina that are offering interest rates over 4% on checking account.
Both Southern Community Bank and Crescent State Bank are offering interest rates above 4% on a checking account. It is very important to remember that these banks will only accept applications from individuals who have residency in a specific region of the state.
This tends to be the case with most local community banks that are willing to offer very high interest rates. If you are not a resident of a specific area then you will not be able to submit an application for a high yield savings or checking account at that specific bank.
With this in mind it would be wise to start your research locally before broadening your search. There many be a high yield savings account offer just around the corner that can help you find the interest rates you rare looking for on a checking account.
