Federal Government Credit Card Debt Relief Plan – Debt Settlement and Reduction Not Supported By FTC In Summer 2010

Posted on | June 24, 2010 | Comments Off

The possibility of the federal government credit card debt relief program or plan continues to be on the minds of Americans who are struggling with personal finances. At the present time there is no debt settlement or debt reduction plan that is sponsored by the government in the summer of 2010.

You may hear advertisements or see ads for companies claiming that they have Obama or government support on the debt settlement program or plan but it is important to note that this is not the case. Make certain to protect yourself when it comes to any type of debt relief plan or program.

There many free resources available on the FTC website to help you better understand how you can get out of debt through other ways than the debt relief plan. One of the most effective ways to get out of debt is to create a weekly or monthly budget that can help you save much more money than you spend.

By saving more money than you spend you will have an opportunity to eventually dig yourself out of debt which in turn will make your financial life much easier. Please understand that this is not an overnight process and it could take several years and possibly even decades to dig yourself out of debt.
