Today’s Lowest Mortgage Interest Rates – Refinance Loan Rates Hitting New Lows This Week in 2010

Posted on | May 28, 2010 | Comments Off

Today’s lowest mortgage interest rates are getting very close to all-time lows as refinance loans have hit 2010 lows this week. Many Americans are looking to refinance at the current time and hoping to save a significant amount of money on their current monthly mortgage payment.

There are many mortgage calculators available online and can greatly assist you when it comes to understanding how much you can save by getting a low refinance rate. Fortunately, for many Americans there are huge savings available for locking into mortgage rates under 5%.

At the present time we are seeing 30 year fixed mortgage rates very close to 4.5% which is very close to the all-time low. When looking at historical chart of mortgage rates you can clearly see that we are at very low levels. With this being the case refinance activity is likely to pick up.

Please note that not all Americans will have the opportunity to refinance to a low rate. If you do not have a significant amount of home equity or a very impressive credit score you are going to find it nearly impossible to lock into today’s lowest mortgage interest rates.
