Posted on | May 28, 2010 | Comments Off
Today’s lowest FHA mortgage rates are coming in very close to all-time lows as 30 year conventional mortgage rates are under 4.75%. Major mortgage lenders including Bank of America, J.P. Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo and Countrywide have reported that FHA rates are coming in below 5% as well.
It is very important to note that not all Americans will have the ability to qualify for rates under 5%. If you have struggled with your personal finances over the past several months and you could find that your interest rate offers are much higher than the low advertised levels.
If your credit score is well below 740 than you are going to find great difficulty when it comes to convincing a mortgage lender to offer you a low overall interest rate. Even though FHA mortgage interest rates are near all-time lows it does not mean that every single borrower will have the opportunity to save with these low rates.
Over the next several weeks it will be very interesting to see if a refinance activity picks up. There is very little doubt that Americans are interested in refinancing and mortgage rates are under 5%. That is where we stand at the present time so it will be interesting to see how many people search for today’s lowest FHA mortgage rates.
