Today’s lowest FHA mortgage rates are coming in very close to conventional mortgage rates. Many mortgage lenders including Chase, Citigroup, Wells Fargo and Bank of America have reported that FHA interest rates are getting very close to historical lows. It is important to note that these are the three big banks of America But they are not the only options.
By doing research on lenders and banks in your area you could find that there are many opportunities available to help you save a significant amount of money. Please do not feel as if you are obligated to one mortgage lender just because they quoted you a low overall interest rate.
With FHA mortgage rates in conventional mortgage rates coming in very close it should be expected to see 30 year fixed FHA rates below 5%. At the present time 30 year conventional mortgage rates are around 4.5%. When looking at a historical chart of mortgage rates you will clearly see that this is very close to all-time lows.
Over the next several weeks it will be very interesting to see how mortgage activity picks up. With many Americans looking to save money it should come as no surprise to see homeowners looking to refinance to a lower rate which in turn will help them save on their monthly mortgage payment.
