Federal Government Credit Card Debt Relief – Plan or Programs for High Interest Rate Debt Not Sponsored by FTC

Posted on | May 26, 2010 | Comments Off

Many struggling Americans have searched for a federal government credit card debt relief program or plan but it is very important to understand that no such program exists at the present time. The FTC does not sponsor any program that claims to have government approval when it comes to credit card debt.

Over the last several years many Americans have had great difficulty when it comes to high interest rate credit card debts. This issue has become such a problem that Pres. Obama had to sign the credit card act into law on February 22, 2010. this wall should help Americans better understand their credit card debt issues.

With the new credit card act credit card companies will now have to make credit card statements much more detail. It is now the case that companies will offer information explaining how long it will take to get out of credit card debt by making the minimum monthly payments.

Unfortunately, some Americans are going to find it takes several years and possibly even several decades to get out of debt by making minimum monthly payments. Hopefully this will open the eyes of these consumers and help them to make larger payments rather than just the minimum payments.
