Today’s Lowest Mortgage Interest Rates – Home Loans for 15 and 30 Year Fixed Under 4.75% Today
Posted on | May 25, 2010 | Comments Off
Today’s lowest mortgage interest rate are very close to historical lows as both the 15 year and 30 year fixed mortgage is available under 4.75%. At the present time we are seeing a 30 year fixed mortgage rate around 4.7% in the 15 year fixed mortgage rate around 4.1%.
Many mortgage lenders are reporting that mortgage rates are very close to 2010 lows and there is a strong possibility that we could see rates drop slightly further before a move higher. It is very interesting to note that the 10 year treasury rate yield is well below its 200 day moving average which could mean lower mortgage rates in the future.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to predict the future of financial markets so it might be a wise decision to take action sooner rather than later. With 15 year and 30 year fixed mortgage rates near 2010 lows now might be the time to consider getting your first mortgage or refinancing your current home loan.
With many mortgage lenders offering low rates at the present time it should not be difficult to find a lender in your area that can help you lock in to an interest rate below 5%. If you have a very good credit score and a low debt to income ratio than you could save a significant amount of money.
