Free Annual Credit Report from FTC and Government – Push for Free Credit Score in Bank Bill
Posted on | May 20, 2010 | Comments Off
The free annual credit report offered by the FTC and Federal Government has become a very popular topic over the last several months as many Americans are looking for a free annual credit report. It is very important to note there is only website that offers a true free annual credit report and is sponsored by the Federal Government – annualcreditreport.com
At the present time the government is trying to push for one free credit score in the bank bill. This credit score could help Americans as statistics show that 65% of Americans have not checked their credit score in the last year. This could cause Americans to lose a significant amount of money over the long run.
By checking your credit score and credit report at least once a year you will minimize the chance to see errors on this report. By reducing the number of errors you should be able to save a significant amount of money over the course of your lifetime. Make sure to realize that these errors should be addressed immediately.
The government is continuing to push for a free credit score but we will have to wait and see what happens before making any assumptions. Even without the free credit score there is still a free annual credit report available for all.
