First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit News – $8000 and $6500 Federal Government Credits Expire on April 30th, 2010

Many people are searching for news when it comes to the first time home buyer tax credit.  At the present time it looks as if the $8000 and $6500 Federal Government tax credits will expire on April 30th, 2010.  There has been much debate on the extension of this tax credit but it does not look as if it will happen.


Over the next two day many first time home buyers are going to flood the market in hopes of getting under contract by the end of Friday so they can lock in on the $8000 or $6500 Federal Government first time home buyers tax credit.  Please understand that this is a process and it does not come easy.

With mortgage interest rates low and home prices affordable now is a great time to take advantage of the first time home buyer tax credit.  Please make certain that you have the funds to make a mortgage payment each and every month before deciding that buying a home is right for you.
