Federal Government Move Up Homebuyer Tax Credit Extension – $6500 Housing Credit Expires April 30th, 2010
Posted on | April 29, 2010 | Comments Off
Many current and future homeowners are wondering if there will be a Federal Government move up homebuyer tax credit extension. The $6500 housing credit is set to expire on April 30th, 2010 and many first time and move up home buyers are flooding the market hoping to get under contract by April 30th, 2010.
At the present time it does not look as if there is going to be an extension of the first time home buyer tax credit or move up homebuyer tax credit. The Federal Government has worked very hard to help those looking to get into the housing market by offering tax credits of $8000 and $6500 but this government check looks to be coming to an end.
Unless there is some very quick legislation it is unlikely there will be any extension of these tax housing credits. If you are looking for more information on the current tax credits available then it would be wise to surf over to federalhousingcredit.com. You will find all the the information you need; it might also be wise to contact your lender and see if there are any incentives at the last minute.
