Today’s lowest mortgage interest rates are currently around 4.95% for the 30 year fixed mortgage and 4.3% for the 15 year fixed mortgage. Many first time home buyers are flooding the market hoping to lock in to low mortgage rates and have the opportunity to qualify for the first time home buyer tax credit.
