Save Money Any Way Possible

Today’s Lowest Mortgage Interest Rates – 30 Year Fixed Rates at 4.9% for Well Qualified Homeowners

Posted on | April 22, 2010 | Comments Off

Today’s lowest mortgage interest rates are around 4.9% for the 30 year fixed rate mortgage.  It is very important to note that this is the average interest rate for well qualified current and future homeowners.  If you have a significant amount of debt and you have missed bill payments in the recent past then you will not be considered a well qualified borrower.

Many Americans have had the ability to lock in to low mortgage interest rates over the last 18 months.  Some of these homeowners are saving hundreds of dollars on their monthly mortgage payments.  Please note that not everyone will save this much money.  There are many mortgage calculators available online that can help you determine just how much money you can save by locking in to a low mortgage interest rate.

There are many mortgage lenders that are currently advertising low rates.  It would be wise to contact several lenders so you know that you are getting a competitive interest rate and the best customer service available.  If you go with your first offer you will have no idea if this is the correct company to work with your financial situation.
