Today’s Highest Bank CD Rates – Investment Rates Around 1.5% in March 2010

Posted on | March 26, 2010 | No Comments

If you are looking for today’s highest bank CD rates then you are likely to find that an attractive interest rate on a bank CD maturing in one year is around 1.5% to 1.7% in March 2010.  It is important to note that these rates will vary greatly depending on the bank or brokerage.

While a 1.5% interest rate may not seem extremely attractive it is a safe investment.  Instead of worrying about what the economy will do or if the stock market will go up or down you will have the safe feeling of knowing that you will get the same return each and every day no matter what.

With this being the case many risk averse investors seek bank CDs.  Even though the interest rates are not extremely high they are consistent.  With many Americans losing money through stocks and bonds over the last several years they are looking for a safe, consistent investment that will give them some type of return.

Make sure to make your final investment decisions independently.  While it might be a good idea to accept advice from others you will want to make the final decision for yourself because it is your money that can be gained or lost.
