Refinance Home Loan Rates – New March Government Program Released Today

Posted on | March 26, 2010 | No Comments

Refinance home loan rates have been around or below 5% for the entire year of 2010 until recently. Just this week we have seen the 30 year fixed mortgage rate break to new 2010 highs of 5.05%. Today we are to learning about the new government program that is being released to help homeowners.

The Federal Government has worked very hard to help homeowners who are struggling to make their mortgage payment. If you are one of these homeowners you might want to consider doing research on the Making Home Affordable website. This website will give you an introduction to your options when it comes to lowering your monthly mortgage payment.

No one knows what the entire government mortgage plan is going to be but there is an assumption that it will involve a principle reduction plan much like the Bank of America plan that was released earlier this week. This could greatly help Americans who are underwater in their mortgage and unemployed.

If you are in this situation then it would be wise to seek help as soon as possible. If you continue to wait and hope that things are going at better you could be getting a foreclosure letter in the mail very soon. You will want to take the necessary steps to save your home and avoid foreclosure.
