Obama Credit Card Debt Relief Plan – Remove Unwanted Revolving Debt Today

Posted on | March 25, 2010 | No Comments

The Obama credit card debt relief plan was designed to help Americans remove unwanted revolving debt as soon as possible.  The FTC website has a great amount of valuable resources that are completely free.  By accessing FTC.gov you will find a number of articles to educate yourself on credit card debt.

Education is one of the keys to removing revolving debt.  If you have no idea what credit cards you have outstanding and you do not know what the interest rates are then you are going to find it very difficult to pay them off.  You need to be honest with yourself and write down the lines of credit you have outstanding.

After visualizing your situation it will be much easier for you to take action.  The Credit CARD Act will also go a very long way in helping you educate yourself.  In the future, credit card statements will clearly show how long it will take you to pay off your credit card if you make the minimum payments.

It will also be the case that credit cards will give you a 45 day notice as to when your interest rate is going to increase.  This will help customers to adjust their spending habits and hopefully pay off that particular credit card before the interest rate adjusts higher.
